Dying To Be Me - Anita Moorjani

In this truly inspirational memoir, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body—overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system—began shutting down. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her inherent worth . . . and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was able to be released from the hospital within weeks . . . without a trace of cancer in her body!

Within these pages, Anita recounts stories of her childhood in Hong Kong, her challenge to establish her career and find true love, as well as how she eventually ended up in that hospital bed where she defied all medical knowledge.

As part of a traditional Hindu family residing in a largely Chinese and British society, she had been pushed and pulled by cultural and religious customs since she had been a little girl. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself . . . and that there are miracles in the Universe that she had never even imagined.

In Dying to Be Me, Anita freely shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, “being love,” and the true magnificence of each and every human being!

This is a book that definitely makes the case that we
are spiritual beings having a human experience . . . and that we are all One!

Discrimination

The first Light that Christ taught is discrimination, discernment.

What is right and what is wrong? There was a very strong philosophy in the ‘60s especially, and that philosophy was saying to us in the newspapers and on the radio, “There is no right and wrong. Everything is right. No matter what you do, it is right. If you want to do it, it is right.” That was wrong. For me it was wrong.

A boy came to my class. After the class, we used to give ten or fifteen minutes recess. He came to me and said, “Torkom, there is one thing wrong with you.” I said, “What is wrong with me?” He said, “There is no right and wrong. Everything is right.” “Then,” I said, “I am not wrong.” “Gosh,” he said. “But I will tell you one thing to teach you a lesson. Now,” I said, “look at this knife.” Then I put the knife in his hand and said, “Cut your artery now.””No,” he said. “Oh, it is right,” I said. “No, it isn’t right.” “Well, you know exactly which is right and which is wrong. Then what are you talking about?”

Why did they manipulate or create such a philosophy? They wanted to use it for their own license. “Because there is no right and wrong, I can do anything I want.” It was self-deception. So the Christ Light, the first Light, is discrimination.

Marianne Williamson...A Spiritual Woman....for Congress

Woman - Torch of the Future

Dear Friends,

I have officially announced my candidacy for election to the U.S. House of Representatives from California’s Congressional District 33.

I know many of you are not surprised. At my Sister Giant Conference in Los Angeles last year, I urged almost two thousand women to consider running for office using the principles of non-violence to birth a new American politics. After experiencing the energy and enthusiasm of the conference, I spent long months pondering how I could best further such a movement. The response that feels most real and true to me is to run for office myself.

I do not think of this move as a career change. Rather, I feel I’m further expanding my work by taking the transformational principles to which I have dedicated myself for the last thirty years into another area where they are sorely needed. While a new paradigm, holistic, relational perspective now saturates many areas of our society — from education to business to medicine to spirituality — our politics seem to be outside its reach. And we cannot afford to turn away from politics. We might not touch it, but it certainly touches us. And the increasingly calcified thought forms that dominate U.S. politics today — based more on the past than the present, more on fear than on love, and more on economic than humanitarian values — threaten to sabotage our collective good and undermine our democracy.

The biggest threat to our country today is not from armies invading our shores. The biggest threat to our democracy is not bombs falling from the sky over an American city. No, our biggest threat is a pattern of a thousand cuts – the slow but now constant chipping away at our democratic freedoms—one capitulation to moneyed interests at a time, one politically gerrymandered district at a time, one government surveillance program at a time, one limiting of our voting rights at a time, one intimidation of journalists at a time, one Patriot Act at a time, one National Defense Authorization Act at a time, one Trans Pacific Partnership so-called trade deal limiting our sovereignty at a time. So at what point— after how many moments when Americans mutter to ourselves “Ya gotta be kidding me!”—do we stand up to our own government and say, “Hey, guys! Whose side are you on??”

That question will not be answered in a meaningful way until it is asked in the most powerful way. And that means not just from the sidelines and not just from online petitions. The question must be asked more often by people sitting in those seats, inthat building, in that city.

And that’s why I am running for Congress. I hope you’ll join me.
_________________________________________________________________________________
To me, the critical crisis that looms today is a crisis of democracy itself. For with every challenge that confronts us now — from economic disparity, to the clear and present danger of climate change, to our high incidence of child poverty, to the corruption of America’s food supply, to our high incarceration rate, to our over-reliance on military force and the need to develop more enlightened methods of peace-building –the most important issue of all, like a disease underlying all the other diseases, is the undue influence of money on our politics.
_________________________________________________________________________________

We have developed, over the last few decades, a system of legalized corruption in the United States, in which those with money are accorded much more political influence than those who are without. And that is not democracy. If only those with financial leverage can wield political influence, then those without such leverage – children, for instance – too easily see their interests sidelined.

Lincoln’s government “of the people, by the people and for the people” is becoming for all practical purposes a government “of a few of the people, by a few of the people and for a few of the people.” Citizens of the United States should not be always on the defense, fighting for the biggest pile of crumbs left over after moneyed interests have feasted on the public purse. Adding additional and an equally critical injustice, the gerrymandering policies in the vast majority of our states — in which the dominant political party in each state redraws Congressional districts to protect their own party or incumbents — allows candidates to pick their voters rather than allowing the voters to pick their candidates! Yet these situations will not be corrected unless “we the people” correct them.

Those who have sought inner wisdom and spiritual understanding are the last people who should be sitting out the political process, for those who see into the cause of a problem know better than to simply address its symptoms. And those who have a clue as to what changes one heart have a clue as to what will change the world. Humanitarian values are democratic values, and those who are most committed to them must find our political voice.
_________________________________________________________________________________
We cannot allow our government to continue drifting in a blind and heartless direction, and expect to bequeath to our children the blessings of liberty that were bequeathed to us. There is need for a politics of conscience, a new era of public discourse in which love is not minimized, the voices of women and children are not marginalized, and the future is not bartered for a pot of unrighteous gold.
_______________________________________________________________________________

Martin Luther King Jr. said we needed a quantitative change in our circumstances as well as a qualitative change in our souls. Now, as then, we must bring the fullness of our internal selves to the task of changing our country. Cynicism, complacency, disengagement and anger have no place in the politics that are called for now.

The people of the United States have been faced with serious problems before, and we’re faced with serious problems again. But generations before us have risen to the task of correcting America’s course when it needed to be corrected, and today it’s our turn.

I ask for your support, that this campaign might be more than simply an effort to send one woman to Congress. May it be a vessel for revitalized citizenship for those who participate, and a new possibility for love in action.

Thank you very much for reading this and for sharing it with others. God bless you, God bless America, and God bless the world.

Expansion of Consciousness - A Poem

See how flowers bloom.
See how stars shine.
See how fragrance spreads itself in space.

Everything expands from its core,
from within.

Direct your thoughts toward beauty,
toward symphony of the Universe.
Direct your thoughts toward the fields of light,
of love, toward the source of power.

Fuse your thoughts with the fields
of light and love and joy.

Thoughts are magnetic rays.
They absorb and channel that with which they come in contact.

Let the rays of your thoughts touch the fiery heart of the Universe.

Only energies coming from the heart of Cosmos
will expand your consciousness.
Every time your thoughts touch the Cosmic Heart,
your Chalice, your heart, will dance in joy.

It is this joy that expands your consciousness,
expands your horizons.

Keep your thoughts pure.
Only pure thoughts are pure transmitters of light, of love, of joy.

Expansion of consciousness is a road
leading you back Home.

Look how flowers bloom.....

Look how stars shine.....

Look how fragrance spreads......

Open your heart to the beauty of Cosmos.
Let your consciousness expand and
reflect the deeper image of far-off worlds,
the image of your glory within.

How do we expand our Consciousness II & III

The second step to expand our consciousness is to form groups, live with groups, and try to develop group consciousness.

Forming a group, thinking about the welfare of the units of the group and the welfare of the group as a unit expands our consciousness. That is what life does -- you have families, groups, nations, humanity, but do you live consciously?

In groups and nations we try to understand the need of the units, eradicate the obstacles of their growth and relationships, and to cause breakthroughs in their consciousness into the One Consciousness.

In the future, great workers will come and with creative methods show us how to live in the light of the One Consciousness in our diversifies manifestations.

The third major step if a unit ti expand its consciousness is to cultivate all needed "equipment" that can be intelligently used to meet the needs of the units, leading them to a higher level of consciousness.

Unless we become a bridge between higher and lower, we cannot expand our consciousness adequately. Increasing awareness develops in serving the needs of lower units by the light received from higher units.

This is what true service is. Consciousness expands through service, and every step of expansion of consciousness leads to greater fields of service.

How do we expand our Consciousness?

The first practical step is keen observation.

You are going to observe. Observe how you are standing, how you are talking. Observe your emotions, observe your thoughts, observe your dreams, your hallucinations, daydreams, wishes, desires, hatreds, anger, jealousy, and revenge. Observe then because observation is like a tractor that expands the field of your existence. Observe. Everytime you do a real observation, you expand your consciousness a little more.

Observe yourself. Observe yourself physically, emotionally, mentally. Observe how and why you are lying. It is so interesting. When you lie, snap a picture at that moment and watch the movie. "Why did this man lie that way? Look at his face, look at his nose! Look how silly he was smiling. Look at his mind. Look at his craziness." Watch it!

Why were you jealous? Why were you afraid to enter this room? What caused that fear?

Observation is not to know how fat or lean people are.

Observe yourself. What were your reactions and responses? Ask, "Why was I pretending, imitating? Why was I not speaking the truth, the facts? What was the matter with me? Who is influencing me?

The field of observation eventually takes you out of the mud in which you have been living for five thousand years.

What are you doing when not observing yourself? You are losing yourself. The more you observe you observe yourself, the more you exist. Your failure is the result of your lack of observation.

Who or what is controlling you? As long as you are controlled inside and outside, you are not a free person. You are a football everyone is kicking for his own interest. No matter if it is your nation, your father, your mother, your teacher---whatever it is, you are controlled and "you" do not exist. You do exist only when you have control of yourself.

Free yourself from your controllers.

Great Invocation !!!

The Great Invocation

Dear Readers: The Great Invocation is an endless resource of study and meditation. Every year during the Aries, Taurus, and Gemini full moons, we specifically focus on studying the Great Invocation. In this post, we want to share very simple and brief, yet deeply intriguing, information on the multiple layers of meaning in the Great Invocation. See if you can intuit the the many layers of communication and interconnection that results from saying this mantram:

To inspire humanity and to put a constructive tool in its hands, the Hierarchy gave humanity the Great Invocation. The Great Invocation had been used in the Hierarchy for many ages when it was given in 1945 to a small group of humanity. Since then, it has spread all over the world, and today it is spoken in hundreds of languages.

                                    LIGHT            LOVE              POWER
Human sources            throat center     heart center      head center
Planetary sources          humanity         Hierarchy         Shamballa
Cosmic sources            Eye of Taurus   Sirius               Great Bear

The Great Invocation is built on the geometry of the number nine. Man has within him light, love, and the power of direction. When you say the Great Invocation, the first thing you do is coordinate your system. You synthesize, or pull together, three of your main centers and create a projection of light into space. When you say, “Let Light and Love and Power, restore the Plan on Earth,” you are the earth and you invoke the throat, heart, and head centers within you. You also synthesize and integrate the three planetary centers — humanity, Hierarchy, and Shamballa.

The Great Invocation:

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Healing Wounds

I know
it will take a long time
to heal the wounds
you gave to me.
Every time something
reminds me of you,
the wound will be
re‑stimulated,
bringing back to me
my memories,
expectations,
and dreams.

I know
you will feel
the same way.
You will feel that
I caused many wounds
in your heart
that will take
maybe a longer time
to be healed.

I know
we often, in distance,
think about each other,
dwell on our wounds,
and try to blame
each other
for our wounds.

But the day will come
when
we will meet again
on higher spirals,
after we heal our wounds,
and are ready to start
a more creative
relationship,
mutually uplifting,
mutually enjoyable,
and with
a detached attitude
deeply realized
by both of us.

Our wounds
will heal sooner
if we only, every night
before sleep,
visualize
each other’s face
and sincerely
say,

THE POWER OF THOUGHT

There are two major kinds of thinking: Soul thinking and Ego thinking.

· Soul thinking is pro-survival. It is constructive. It transforms, it is progressive, it release, liberate, and brings abundance and sunshine.

· Ego thinking is anti-survival, selfish, separative, and destructive. It creates pollution and confusion.

· Ego-thinking is responsible for all distortions in history, in literature, in religion, and in human relations.

· Ego-thinking leads to confusion and weakening of the mind.

· Ego-thinking retards your evolution and the evolution of others.

· Ego-thinking tries to manipulate people for its own sake.

· Soul thoughts lengthen the years of your life with prosperity and joy.

· Ego thoughts destroy their master in the long run. Ego thought work against the One Self.

· Ego-thinking works against evolution, and the accumulating currents of evolution eventually destroy the ego.

Soul-thinking develops gradually throughout ages:

1. The person first thinks he is a physical existence.

2. Then he thinks he is his emotions and body.

3. Then he thinks through the thoughts of others.

4. Then he tries to assimilate the thought of others and develop discrimination between various ways of thinking.

5. Then he begins to think and create his own thoughts.

Thinking is the pure language of the human soul. Thinking is the effort of the soul to translate impressions coming from outer and inner sources and relate them to objects, to people, and to the needs and questions of life.

Thinking is the ability to:

a) Relate
b) Appropriate
c) Analyze and synthesize
d) Find out causes of events and facts
e) See the result clearly from the cause
f) Communicate faster and better
g) Contact ideas
h) Build thoughtforms for specific purposes
i) Channel energy
j) Direct energy.

Forgiveness

The purpose of forgiveness is threefold:

a) To create right human relations on Earth and in the subjective world.
b) To restore the integrity and honesty of people.
c) To not continue adding to the karmic debts.

There are certain mechanics of forgiveness.

1. If you seek forgiveness, the first thing you must do is to demonstrate utmost sincerity and honesty by revealing your motives, ways, actions, and plans.
2. Forgiveness will be granted through educating and disciplining the person.
3. If one does not ask for forgiveness with all his heart, with the intention to resolve the situation and start a new page of life, the wrong relationship will continue.
4. If you ask forgiveness or forgive in order to protect your personal interests or because of your fear, you will never advance on the path.
5. It is possible that one can forgive someone else for his own vanity in order to be considered great and noble.
6. Forgiveness is a method not to perpetuate your involvement with the karma of the person on the wrong path.
7. The perpetuation of anger and hatred is responsible for the creation of tension points in your consciousness and aura.
8. Again and again we are told to solve our problems as soon as we can because if we take them with us to the Subtle world.
9. The relationship between friends is a very sensitive matter.

THE LAW OF REPLACEMENT

The Law of Replacement is a law in Nature and in human psychology. Replacement is the cause of balance. Nature replaces that which is removed or burned away with that which can take the place of what has disappeared. Replacement is an incessant process in Nature and in Man.

When something is gone, something else appears. Sometimes the new replacement improves conditions; sometimes it creates problems.

The eternal, unchangeable side needs the phenomenal, changing side to balance itself. Sometimes a physical object is replaced with an emotional object, a mental object, and so on. But, replacement is always in effect.

The Law of Replacement uses actual objects, imagination, ideas, concepts, or thoughts to replace what has disappeared. The three worlds are always in balance. When replacement is simultaneous on three levels, happiness results. When it is partial, there is despair, pain, and suffering until replacement is complete on all three levels.

Spare parts of everything are kept in storage, ready to be used as replacements. The replacement process in Nature is always in order, but man makes many mistakes. He replaces wrong things due to his emotions, glamors, and vanity. He replaces his reality or facts with his fantasies, and thus disturbs the Law of Replacement.

Right replacement is the foundation of balance and happiness. There is no progress without an opportunity for replacement. The Law of replacement is a natural or a conscious and deliberate process. Nature takes nothing away from any living form without replacing it with something.

Advanced individuals and nations are those which make deliberate and conscious replacement. To replace in a better way needs a better ability to contact Higher Sources.

In Nature, nothing fades away without creating its higher correspondence. The higher your contact, the better will be the object of replacement. This means that we must not replace the wrong object or the right object with an obsolete or equal object but with a higher object that will function better. All that exists is within our reach; we must only develop expanding contacts.

In relation to a human being, this law, can be used spiritually or in a distorted way. For example, the replacing “entity” could be

a) a glamor
b) an illusion
c) a vanity
d) an ego
e) a physical, emotional, or mental elemental
f) an entity
g) the human soul.

It is only when replacement is handled by the Soul that human progress begins. Replacement carried out by the rest of the “entities” either keeps the person on the same level of consciousness or leads him to degeneration. The change of consciousness from a lower plane to a higher one is also carried on under the Law of Replacement.

Prayer, Meditation, and contemplation are methods of replacement. Enlightenment is also a process of replacement.

Be The Change

The Healthiest Response to Life is Laughter…

Objective: On the spiritual path you come to realize certain basic principles. As these principles unfold ,reality shifts. Mere belief cannot transform the events around you, but self realization can… read the principle below and discuss how it can be applied to your life.  This principle serves as an antidote to fear and sorrow by encouraging you to experience life as joyous. As we begin on the path, joy may come and go in small glimmerings. Yet in the end, laughter will dispel suffering like so much smoke and dust. Suffering is  one of illusion’s most convincing aspects, but it is still unreal.

A golden rule applies here: What is true in the material world is false in God’s world, and vice versa. In this case, the material world seems to be dominated by crisis and suffering, and therefore the sanest way to approach life is with worry, anxiety, and defensiveness. But once your consciousness shifts, you realize that  life itself couldn’t exist without an underlying creativity, and that this continuous act of creation is in itself an expression of ecstasy. These qualities are the basis of your life. In fact, the lens of materialism gives us the  east accurate view of the world, because through it we see consciousness as merely an accidental by- product of brain chemistry and the powers of the mind as a myth.  To equate the deepest reality with inert  atoms colliding with each other in the dead cold of outer space denies all that sustains life and makes it worth living: beauty, truth, art, love, morality, community, discovery, curiosity, inner growth, and higher consciousness.

What do all these qualities have in common – They depend on intuition.

There is no objective proof that love is beautiful, or that the truth can set you free. Rather, you must come to
these realizations through your own inner experience. On the spiritual path everything depends on a shift in
consciousness; nothing depends on atoms colliding.  What we have, then, is two opposing worldviews
contending for your allegiance. Is it better to be spiritual materialistic?  Is God a mere add-on to physical
existence, or at the very root of existence? This isn’t an easy choice to make, because the evidence is
seriously out of balance. Most of us have extensive personal knowledge of the material world, but scant
personal knowledge of God. God must prove that he’s present and dependable, the same way a rock or a
tree is. If we want to claim that God sustains life, he must sustain it as viably as air, water, and food do. In
other words, to realize God is no small thing. It may take a lifetime— if you’re lucky.

To begin this journey, commit yourself to the possibility that everything you see around you is far less real than God. You want to see the truth “with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind,” as Jesus says.

This is actually a commitment to joy. When you feel momentary happiness, or you want to burst out
laughing, or you smile for no apparent reason, you are glimpsing eternal reality. For a fleeting moment the
curtain has parted so you can experience something beyond the illusion. In time these moments of joy will
begin to knit together. Instead of the exception, they will become the norm. There is no better way to know
that you are growing in God-realization.

Be the Change You Wish to See in the World…   Mahatma Gandhi
